When His Son was brought forth, by default He too had a holy spirit. When the angels were created through the Son, they also were holy. There then came up in the mind of Lucifer a different way of thinking, a different spirit\u2014one which was unwilling to serve the Father in His kingdom. After Satan was cast out of heaven we are told, \u201cThere are two spirits in the world, the&nbsp;Spirit of Christ&nbsp;and the&nbsp;spirit of antichrist.\u201d RH June 10, 1890, par. 2<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>&gt; . . . . . . . . . . . . 1 John 4:4&nbsp;Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because&nbsp;greater is he that is in you, than&nbsp;he that is in the world.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>&gt; . . . . . . Why the Spirit of Christ?<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>&gt; . . . . . . . . . . . . James 1:13&nbsp;\u201cGod cannot be temped&nbsp;with evil,\u201d so His begotten Son, in \u201cthe counsel of peace\u2026 between them&nbsp;both\u201d (Zechariah 6:13) chose to become a man. (Inspiration does not say it was the counsel between three.) When Christ became a man, He became the \u201cone&nbsp;mediator between God and men, the man&nbsp;Christ Jesus\u201d (1 Timothy 2:5).<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>&gt; . . . . . . Christ does not leave Heaven each time we pray, but \u201csends\u201d His spirit into the world through the instrumentality of His angelic ministry.&nbsp;Jacob dreamed&nbsp;about God the Father standing on top of (higher than) the ladder (which Christ said represented Himself [in that it reaches from Heaven to earth as both divine and human], in&nbsp;John 1:51). The angels (Hebrew and Greek for \u201cmessengers\u201d) ascended and descended upon that ladder, bringing the mind, thoughts, feelings, instructions, plans, purposes, providences of God to the sleeping prophet.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>&gt; . . . . . . . . . . . . Genesis 28:12-13&nbsp;Jacob \u201cdreamed, and behold a&nbsp;ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it&nbsp;reached to heaven: and behold the&nbsp;angels of God ascending and descending&nbsp;on it.&nbsp;28:13&nbsp;And, behold, the&nbsp;LORD stood above it, and said, I am the&nbsp;LORD God of Abraham&nbsp;thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed.\u201d (The \u201cGod of Abraham\u201d has a Son in&nbsp;Acts 3:13.)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>&gt; . . . . . .
