2. Both were familiar with deserts and solitude. See 1 Kings 17:3,19:4; Luke 1:80.<\/td><\/tr>
3. They wore the same kind of garment, and lived simply. See 2 Kings 1:8; Matthew 3:4.<\/td><\/tr>

Note: All the above does not make Elijah to be John the Baptist. Elijah was Elijah while John the Baptist was John the Baptist. In Luke 1:17, John the Baptist cites: \u201cAnd he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias\u201d not he will come as Elijah.

2. An evil ruler, Pharaoh, decreed that all male Hebrew babies should be killed by casting them into the river {Exodus 1:22}.<\/td><\/tr>

5. \u201cMoses\u201d means drawn out of water {Exodus 2:10}. Drawing out of water is a picture of salvation {Isaiah 12:3}. [Moses was Israel\u2019s vehicle of salvation].<\/td><\/tr>
> Jesus\u2019s name is Hebrew for \u201csalvation\u201d {Matthew 1:21}.<\/td><\/tr>
6. The favour of God was upon Moses, even as an infant. Pharaoh\u2019s daughter took him out of the river and he became a prince in Egypt {Exodus 2:5}.<\/td><\/tr>

7. Moses was brought up by a man who was not his natural father {Exodus 2:9-10}.<\/td><\/tr>
