Fact:<\/strong> Since 1980, the Seventh-day Adventist Church has accepted the trinity doctrine. A one God who can also be seen as \u201cGod the Father, \u201cgod the son\u201d and \u201cgod the holy spirit\u201d. Hence the 1in3 and 3in1 mystery that, we are told, no human being can prove, nor understand, although we are told, by high-ranking humans that have acquired authority, that \u201conly by faith can we believe it\u201d.

Reminder<\/strong>: The trinity belief is that the Son [as well as the Holy Spirit], is CO-ETERNAL, CO-EXISTENT<\/span><\/strong> like the Father. Hence all three MUST<\/span><\/strong> have ALWAYS EXISTED<\/span><\/strong>. That there is a \u2018god the son\u2019 and a \u2018god the holy spirit\u2019 as well as God the Father. What does God\u2019s Word say ?

Well, for starters the word and even the concept of the trinity does not exist within God\u2019s Word. Then we find that \u2018god the son\u2019 and \u2018god the holy spirit\u2019 never occur. God\u2019s Word always refers to the \u2018Son of God\u2019 and the \u2018Holy Spirit of God\u2019 or \u2018Holy Spirit of Christ\u2019.

Let\u2019s see what God\u2019s Word actually says:

Ge1.2 And<\/span> the earth was without form, and void; and darkness [was] upon the face of the deep. And the SPIRIT OF GOD<\/span> moved upon the face of the waters.<\/strong> {Right from the very beginning, the Holy Spirit has an owner \u2013 God the Father. Bible findings: Holy Spirit of God = 1; Holy Spirit = 7; Spirit of God = 26; Spirit of the Lord = 31 but no god the [holy] spirit.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Ge1.26 >And God said, Let US<\/span> make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. <\/strong>{See ep3.9 for identity of <\/em>US<\/span><\/strong> : also he1.2. Man was to be made in the image of God. So the US must have the attributes of God. Obviously, one was God the Father and the other must have come from God.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Ge1.27 So GOD<\/span> created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. <\/strong>[mt19.4] {Jesus received all power from His Father [mt28.18]; ultimately it was God who created; not Jesus.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Ge5.4 And the days of Adam after he had begotten<\/span> Seth were eight hundred years: and he begat sons and daughters: <\/strong>{The word begotten<\/strong> means derived from something which is already in existence. Adam existed and then at a later date Seth was <\/em> begotten<\/strong><\/em>.}<\/em> <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
Ge19.1 And there came <\/strong>TWO ANGELS<\/strong><\/span> to Sodom at even<\/strong>; and Lot sat in the gate of Sodom: and Lot seeing [them] rose up to meet them<\/strong>; and he bowed himself with his face toward the ground; {Note:<\/strong> Not 3 \u2013 God and Christ ALWAYS work with ONE or TWO and never sends THREE angels. lk9.30, lk24.4, jn20.12, ac1.10}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Ge41.38 And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find [such a one] as this [is], a man in whom the Spirit of God [is]<\/span>? <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
Ge41.39 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph<\/strong>, Forasmuch as God hath showed thee all this, [there is] none so discreet and wise as thou [art]: <\/td><\/tr>
Ge41.40 Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou.<\/strong> {Note, in these 3 verses, the parallels between Pharaoh\/God the Father, Joseph\/Jesus the Only Begotten Son of God, and the Spirit of God.}<\/em> <\/td><\/tr>
Ge41.41 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt.<\/strong> {God sets Jesus over this sinful world.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Ex20.3 THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME. <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
Ex20.5 THOU SHALT NOT BOW DOWN THYSELF TO THEM, NOR SERVE THEM: for I the LORD thy God<\/span> [am] a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth [generation] of them that hate me; <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
De6.2 That thou mightest fear the LORD THY GOD<\/span><\/strong>, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son’s son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged. {ONE GOD \u2013 not a 3 in 1 \/ 1 in 3 mysterious god.}<\/td><\/tr>
De6.4 Hear, O Israel: THE LORD OUR GOD<\/span> [IS] ONE<\/span> LORD:<\/strong> [is42.8; ml2.10; mk12.29-30,32; jn17.3; ro3.30; 1co8.4&6; ep4.6; 1ti2.5; ja2.19]. {ONE GOD \u2013 not a 3 in 1 \/ 1 in 3 mysterious god.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
De6.5 And thou shalt love the LORD THY GOD<\/span> with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.<\/strong> [de4.29, de30.2,6,10; je29.13; mt22.37; mk12.30; lk10.27]<\/td><\/tr>
J<\/strong>o24.14 >Now therefore fear the LORD, and serve him in sincerity and in truth: and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the flood, and in Egypt; and serve ye the LORD. <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
Jo24.15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, CHOOSE YOU THIS DAY WHOM YE WILL SERVE<\/span>; whether the gods which your fathers served that [were] on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD. <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
Jo24.16 And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the LORD<\/strong><\/span>, to serve other gods; {The LORD is God the Father<\/span><\/strong> and no other gods.} <\/em><\/td><\/tr>
1K1.13 Go and get thee in unto king David, and say unto him<\/strong>, Didst not thou, my lord, O king, swear unto thine handmaid, saying, Assuredly SOLOMON thy son shall reign after me, and he shall sit upon my throne? why then doth Adonijah reign?<\/span><\/strong> {Note the parallels between David\/God the Father, Solomon\/Jesus the Only Begotten Son of God, and Satan as Adonijah\/the Spirit of God. In the trinity doctrine, Satan as Adonijah acts as \u2018God the Spirit\u2019. Adonijah attempts to seize the throne and reign despite David\u2019s earlier promise that Solomon would reign after him.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Jb26.13 By his spirit<\/span><\/strong> he hath garnished<\/span><\/strong> the heavens; his hand hath formed the crooked serpent. {wind, breath<\/strong>, mind, spirit = Ruach H7307. This was the creative force.} {garnished = brightness.}<\/em>

Jb27.3 All the while my {Job}<\/em> breath [is] in me, and the SPIRIT OF GOD [is] in my nostrils<\/span><\/strong>; <\/td><\/tr>
Ps2.7 I will declare the decree: the LORD<\/span><\/strong> hath said unto me, Thou [art] my Son; THIS DAY have I BEGOTTEN THEE<\/span><\/strong>. [ac13.33]<\/td><\/tr>
Ps33.6 By the word<\/span> of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the BREATH<\/span> of his mouth. <\/strong>{wind, breath, mind, spirit = Ruach H7307. This was the creative force.} {Hebrew poetry – 1st part of verse; then 2nd part. Word and Spirit are synonymous.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Ps51.10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. <\/strong> {Christ\u2019s representative, the Holy Spirit of God is put within us; not the actual dwelling of another god.}<\/em> <\/td><\/tr>
Ps51.11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not THY HOLY SPIRIT<\/span> from me.<\/strong> {Relates to God} <\/em> <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
Ps139.7 Whither shall I go from THY SPIRIT<\/span>? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? <\/strong>{There is one God, a personal, spiritual being, the creator of all things, omnipotent, omniscient, and eternal, infinite in wisdom, holiness, justice, goodness, truth, and mercy; unchangeable, and everywhere present by his representative, the Holy Spirit.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
And the Son of God declares concerning Himself: {PP 34.1 1890}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Pr8.22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way<\/strong>, before his works of old. <\/td><\/tr>
Pr8.23 I was set up <\/strong>FROM<\/strong><\/span> everlasting, from the beginning<\/strong>, or ever the earth was. {From, NOT THROUGHOUT<\/strong>}<\/td><\/tr>
Pr8.24 When [there were] no depths, I WAS BROUGHT FORTH<\/strong>; when [there were] no fountains abounding with water. { A son is brought forth from his father}<\/em>. <\/td><\/tr>

Is34.16 >Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit<\/span><\/strong> it hath gathered them. {The targum says \u201cfor by His Word<\/span><\/strong> they shall be gathered together.}<\/td><\/tr>
Is42.8 I [AM] THE LORD: that [is] my name<\/span>: and MY GLORY WILL I NOT <\/span>GIVE TO ANOTHER, neither my praise to graven images.<\/strong> [de6.4; ml2.10; mk12.29-30,32; jn17.3; ro3.30; 1co8.4&6; ep4.6; 1ti2.5; ja2.19]. {So no changes \u2013 just like ml3.6 confirms.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Is48.16 >Come ye near unto me, hear ye this; I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, there [am] I: and now the LORD GOD, AND HIS SPIRIT<\/span>, hath sent me. <\/strong>{The targum says \u201cand His Word<\/strong>\u201d}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Is63.11 Then he remembered the days of old, Moses, [and] his people, [saying], Where [is] he that brought them up out of the sea with the shepherd of his flock? where [is] he that put HIS holy Spirit<\/span> within him<\/strong>? {Not possible to do if a person or god the holy spirit.} <\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Ho6.3 Then shall we know, [if] we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter [and] former rain unto the earth.<\/strong> {rain equates to spirit} <\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Mi5.2 But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, [though] thou be little among the thousands of Judah, [yet] out of thee shall he come forth unto me [that is] to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth [have been] FROM<\/span> of old, FROM<\/span> everlasting. <\/strong>[mt2.5-6, jn7.42] { Note: FROM<\/span> of old but it does NOT say THROUGHOUT<\/span> everlasting. SoP speaks of a time period for THROUGHOUT eternity.}<\/em><\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
Zc6.12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name [is] The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD: <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
Zc6.13 Even he shall build the temple of the LORD; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule upon his THRONE; and he shall be a priest upon his THRONE: and THE COUNSEL OF PEACE SHALL BE BETWEEN THEM BOTH. <\/strong>{<\/em>Both, <\/em><\/strong>always implies 2 parties are involved \u2013 God the Father and His only begotten Son.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Ml2.10 Have we not all ONE FATHER<\/span>? hath not ONE<\/span> God created us?<\/strong> why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother<\/strong><\/span>, by profaning the covenant of our fathers? [de6.4; is42.8; mk12.29-30,32; jn17.3; ro3.30; 1co8.4&6; ep4.6; 1ti2.5; ja2.19]. {How true; trinity brothers fighting brothers in Christ \u2013 because they point out that church error is NOT God\u2019s Word.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Ml3.6 For I [am] the LORD, I CHANGE NOT<\/span>; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
Mt3.11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and [with] fire<\/span>: <\/strong>{Fire<\/strong> \u2013 symbolizes the transforming energy of the Holy Spirit’s actions. In the form of tongues “as of fire”, the Holy Spirit rested on the disciples on the morning of Pentecost. Also note who does the baptizing \u2013 JESUS does with HIS<\/strong> Holy Spirit \u2013 He does NOT call upon a 3 god.}<\/em> <\/td><\/tr>
Mt3.16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God<\/span> descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
Mt3.17 And lo a VOICE<\/span> from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son<\/span>, in whom I am well pleased. {Note: <\/em><\/strong>Here we see all the heavenly trio in action: God the Father [via His voice], His Only Beloved Son [in person for baptism] and the presence of His Holy Spirit. [The Talmud compares the Spirit of God to a dove that hovers over the face of the waters.] This heavenly trio is NOT<\/strong> in the trinity format.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Mt4.10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, THOU SHALT WORSHIP THE LORD THY GOD, AND HIM ONLY SHALT THOU SERVE<\/span>.<\/strong> [de6.13, lk4.8] <\/strong>{So plain and simple \u2013 God the Father worship; nothing mysterious.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Mt11.27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son<\/span><\/strong>, and [he] to whomsoever the Son will reveal [him]. {Father and Son knoweth but no Holy Spirit is mentioned \u2013 although followers of Jesus are mentioned and will know. Under the trinity doctrine, this just does not make sense \u2013 surely a \u201cgod the holy spirit\u201d should know and would be cited before any mention is made of believers?}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Mt12.31 >Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy [against] the [Holy] Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men. <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
Mt12.32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the [world] to come. <\/strong>{To make the Holy Ghost into a co-equal god when Scripture says otherwise is blasphemy.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Mt16.27 For the Son of man<\/span> shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. <\/strong>{Apparently, \u201cgod the holy spirit\u201d does bother to come.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Mt27.46 And about the ninth hour JESUS CRIED WITH A LOUD VOICE, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, MY GOD, MY GOD, WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME? <\/strong>{<\/em>THOU <\/em><\/strong>implies a singular God \u2013 as a trinitarian god he would have said the plural you and, by an unexplainable mystery, he would have also been speaking to himself ! }<\/em> <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
Mt28.18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All POWER<\/span> is given unto me in heaven and in earth. <\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
{The important fact that Jesus is telling His disciples in this verse is that He has received All POWER<\/span><\/strong> from His Father.}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>

Mt28.19 >Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:<\/strong><\/td><\/tr>
{This verse tells us that there is a God, there is a Son and there is a Holy Spirit. This verse does not say anything about their nature, nor the relationship that they hold to each other, it does not tell us that there are 3 entities or persons, nor that God is made up of three persons, it does not tell us who the Holy Spirit is, nor that these 3 persons make 1 God, [the word God in this verse is not even mentioned], nor is anything said about the Godhead. This verse says absolutely nothing about any co-equal, co-eternal, co-existent characteristics of these 3 persons or beings.<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
At Matthew 28:19 reference is made to \u201cthe name . . . of the Holy Ghost.\u201d But the word \u201cname\u201d does not always mean a personal name, either in Greek or in English. When we say \u201cin the name of the law,\u201d we are not referring to a person. We mean that which the law stands for; its authority. Robertson\u2019s Word Pictures in the New Testament says: \u201cThe use of name [onoma] here is a common one in the Septuagint and the papyri for power or authority.\u201d So baptism \u2018in the name of the Holy Spirit\u2019 recognizes the authority of the spirit, that it is from God and functions by His divine will. This, His disciples understood, because they knew that God had given Jesus all authority; all power.}
What is the ONLY name under heaven whereby we can be saved?
Ac4.10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH<\/strong>, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, [even] by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
Ac4.12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE OTHER NAME<\/strong> under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
We do NOT call on the name of the Father or Holy Spirit to be saved in baptism; only JESUS who died for our sins<\/strong>. Nothing else is able to met that criteria. <\/em><\/td><\/tr>
{We cannot prove this verse has been tampered with by the Catholic Church but what we do know is:
1) The Catholic Church confess to changing it. The Catholic Encyclopedia, II, page 263: “The baptismal formula was changed from the name of Jesus Christ to the words Father, Son, and Holy Spirit by the Catholic Church in the second century.”
2) Most theologians also agree that they did change it.
3) No one followed this supposed instruction and all were baptized in the name of Christ ONLY!
4) Other Scriptures say we are baptized and saved by calling on the name of the Lord ONLY.
5) Eusebius [c.260-339 AD] who saw the earliest manuscripts when he quoted this verse wrote that it said, \u201cIn His name\u201d.
The weight of evidence is overwhelming that Matthew 28:19 was changed to the words Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Do those verses say that God, Christ and the Holy Spirit constitute a Trinitarian Godhead, that the three are equal in substance, power and eternity? No, they do not, no more than listing three people, such as Tom, Dick and Harry, means that they are three in one.

<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
All the New Testament baptisms were carried out in the name of Jesus \u2013 ac2.38; ac8.12; ac8.16; ac10.48; ac16.15; ac18.8; ac19.5; ac22.16; ro6.3-4; 1co1.12-17; ga3.27; ep4.5 and 1p3.21. Question:<\/strong> Should the original Mt28.19 wording have been as we know it now, then why was every recorded apostle disobeying this commandment of Jesus? Answer:<\/strong> ???
1th5.21 PROVE ALL THINGS<\/span>; hold fast that which is good.<\/strong>}
Paul in 1 Corinthians 1:13 stated: \u201cIs Christ divided? was Paul crucified for you? or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?\u201d The obvious answer to this rhetorical question is, \u201cNo. You were baptized in the name of Christ because HE<\/strong> was crucified for you.\u201dMk16.16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Ac22.16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and <\/strong>BE BAPTIZED<\/strong><\/span>, and wash away thy sins, calling on <\/strong>THE NAME OF THE LORD<\/strong><\/span>.<\/strong>
We do NOT<\/span><\/strong> call upon the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit for there is no other name beside our Saviour for sin.
Ac4.12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE OTHER NAME<\/span> under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
<\/strong><\/em><\/td><\/tr>
For Seventh-Day Adventists<\/span>: \u201cI saw that God had especially guarded the Bible; yet when copies of it were few, learned men had in some instances changed the words<\/strong>, thinking that they were making it more plain, when in reality they were mystifying that which was plain, by causing it to lean to their established views, which were governed by tradition.<\/strong> But I saw that the Word of God, as a whole, is a perfect chain, one portion linking into and explaining another. True seekers for truth need not err; for not only is the Word of God plain and simple in declaring the way of life, but the Holy Spirit is given as a guide in understanding the way to life therein revealed.\u201d \u2014 (E.G. White, Early Writings, 220.2, 1882).
Note:<\/strong> This text was given to us in 1882. Should God\u2019s Word, the KJV Bible have been corrected by then, then this text would have been mere history for our [irrelevant] awareness only. No corrections were made between 1882 and the last, and 7th, KJV Bible update was made in 1900 by the Cambridge Press. Therefore, we should not be surprised to find out that God has permitted certain Bible verses to be altered<\/strong>. These alterations will<\/strong> deceive many – but not God\u2019s very elect who, by diligent study of His Word<\/strong>, will be led to a knowledge of all truth<\/strong>. Note also that Prophecy is History told to us in advance.<\/strong><\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Jesus was not telling His disciples about God; He was telling them to firstly teach and then baptize all nations through the power given to Him. This verse does not tell us how Jesus wanted us to teach; that had already been done:
God the Father<\/strong> being the only true God [jn17.3]; that He is Lord of heaven and earth [mt11.25] and that He is the God of Israel [jn4.21-22].
That He, is the Son of God<\/strong>, that God was His Father [jn10.36, jn5.18].
That He came out from God; that is He was the only begotten Son of God [jn17.8, jn3.16].
That His Sonship gave Him His divine inheritance [jn5.23, 26].
That His divine Sonship was recognised by His friends and enemies [mt16.16; mk5.7].
The Spirit<\/strong> is Life [jn6.63]; His very own life and breath [jn20.22].
I [Jesus] will not leave you Comfortless; I [Jesus] will come to you [jn14.18]. So when Christ spoke of His Spirit, He was speaking of His person; the divinity of His character.
This is what the disciples learnt from Jesus; they did not hear that God was 3 persons in 1 trinity; this is what you now hear about baptism in mt28.19.

<\/strong>{<\/em>Lesbian <\/em><\/strong>refers to a woman who loves other women.<\/em> Gay <\/em><\/strong>refers to a person, often a man, who loves members or their own gender.<\/em> Bisexual, <\/em><\/strong>or Bi, refers to a person who loves both or all genders.<\/em> Transgender, <\/em><\/strong>or Trans, refers to a person who identifies as a different gender then what her\/his birth certificate says.<\/em> Queer<\/em><\/strong> refers to anyone who loves people of their own gender, either a gay person or a bisexual person. <\/em>Intersex<\/em><\/strong> refers to anyone born with any of several variations in sex characteristics.<\/em> Asexual\/Aromantic, <\/em><\/strong>or Ace\/Aro, refers to a person who does not experience sexual\/romantic attraction. <\/em>Pansexual <\/em><\/strong>refers to a person who loves any person for their personality, regardless of their gender. Jn1.1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with {the} God, and the Word was God. <\/strong>{the} occurs in the the Greek Textus Receptus (otherwise known as the Received Text) of the New Testament. This is the koine Greek (or common Greek) from which the King James Version of the bible was translated.
At John 1:1 there are two occurrences of the Greek noun the\u00b7os\u2019 [god]. The first occurrence refers to Almighty God, with whom the Word was [\u201cand the Word [lo\u2019gos] was with God [a form of the\u00b7os\u2019]\u201d]. This first the\u00b7os\u2019 is preceded by the word ton [the], a form of the Greek definite article that points to a distinct identity, in this case Almighty God [\u201cand the Word was with [the] God\u201d].<\/em><\/td><\/tr>
Jn1.2 The same was in {the} beginning with God. <\/strong>{Literally in Greek, John 1:2 says: <\/em>\u2018He was in beginning with God.<\/em><\/strong>\u2019  Notice that in Greek there is no definite article before the word \u2018beginning\u2019.  It makes sense to include the definite article \u2018the\u2019 in our English translation for the sake of clarity and English idiom. Thus, \u2018<\/em>He was in the beginning with God.<\/em><\/strong>\u2019}<\/em><\/td><\/tr>

Jn3.16 >For GOD so loved the world, that he GAVE his ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.<\/strong> {The word begotten<\/strong> means derived from something which is already in existence. Note:<\/strong> God did not send His Son to be begotten. God sent His Only Begotten Son<\/strong>. God already had an Only begotten Son; and in His Love to restore fallen man, this is what God gave. How did He give? The Eternal Father, the unchangeable one, gave his only begotten Son, TORE FROM HIS BOSOM<\/span><\/strong> Him who was made in the express image of his person, and sent him down to earth to reveal how greatly he loved mankind. \u2026.. {Review & Herald, July 9, 1895 par. 13} The condition for having everlasting life<\/span><\/strong> is to believe that GOD<\/span><\/strong> has given His ONLY BEGOTTEN SON<\/span><\/strong> and to believe in Him. Within Romans-Jude the \u201cHoly Ghost\u201d is mentioned 23 times. Ro15:13 confirms it is a <\/em>power<\/em><\/strong> and 2p1.21 implies a <\/em>spirit<\/em><\/strong>.
Paul in <\/em>ALL<\/em><\/strong> his Salutations and Valedictions [14+14] always refers to <\/em>God<\/em><\/strong> and \/ or <\/em>Jesus<\/em><\/strong>; never to the Holy Spirit \/ Ghost.<\/em>

7. For there are three.<\/em> Hebrew practice<\/strong>, based on Deut. 17:6; 19:15; etc., demanded consistent testimony from two or three witnesses before action was taken in certain legal disputes. John is here citing three witnesses in support of the divinity of his Master<\/strong> (1 John 5:5, 6, 8), thus assuring his readers of the reliability of his statement.<\/td><\/tr>
Bear record.<\/strong><\/em> Gr. marture?<\/em>, \u201cto witness,\u201d \u201cto testify.\u201d Marture?<\/em> is translated \u201cto bear witness\u201d (v. 6) and \u201cto testify\u201d (v. 9). The Greek implies that the witness is being borne continuously.<\/td><\/tr>
In heaven.<\/em><\/strong> Textual evidence attests<\/strong> (cf. p. 10) the omission of the passage \u201cin heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. And there are three that bear witness in earth.\u201d The resultant reading of vs. 7, 8 is as follows: \u201cFor there are three that bear record, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.\u201d<\/strong> The passage as given in the KJV is in no Greek MS earlier than the 15th and 16th centuries. The disputed words found their way into the KJV by way of the Greek text of Erasmus<\/strong> (see Vol. V, p. 141). It is said that Erasmus offered to include the disputed words in his Greek Testament if he were shown even one Greek MS that contained them. A library in Dublin produced such a MS (known as 34), and Erasmus included the passage in his text. It is now believed that the later editions of the Vulgate acquired the passage by the mistake of a scribe who included an exegetical marginal comment in the Bible text that he was copying. The disputed words have been widely used in support of the doctrine of the Trinity, but, in view of such overwhelming evidence against their authenticity, their support is valueless and should not be used.<\/strong> In spite of their appearance in the Vulgate A Catholic Commentary on Holy Scripture<\/em> freely admits regarding these words: \u201cIt is now generally held that this passage, called the Comma Johanneum<\/em>, is a gloss that crept into the text of the Old Latin and Vulgate at an early date, but found its way into the Greek text only in the 15th and 16th centuries\u201d (Thomas Nelson and Sons, 1951, p. 1186).<\/td><\/tr>
8. The Spirit.<\/em><\/strong> The apostle now recapitulates his testimony, but places the Spirit at the head of the list. When Jesus was baptized, the Holy Spirit in the form of a dove bore testimony to John that the one he had baptized was the divinely appointed Messiah, and God Himself proclaimed His Son\u2019s praise (Matt. 3:16, 17). When Christ shed His blood upon the cross, His noble bearing and quiet dignity, aided by the ominous darkness and the earthquake, impressed onlookers with His deity (Matt. 27:45\u201354). Thus the Spirit operated with the events represented by the water and the blood (see on 1 John 5:6) to affirm that Jesus was the Son of God.<\/td><\/tr>
These three agree in one.<\/em><\/strong> Literally, \u201cthe three are for the one thing,\u201d that is, the three witnesses have the same objective in view\u2014to testify to Christ\u2019s divinity, that men might believe on Him and be saved. It was for this selfsame purpose that John wrote his Gospel<\/strong> (John 20:31).<\/td><\/tr>
